Don’t miss the 2019 Annual Meeting of the Polish American Librarians Association, scheduled for April 27 at the Chicago History Museum. “Collecting Our Stories” is the meeting theme, and the program will focus on what librarians and archivists are doing to preserve the papers, letters, and personal records of the Polish diaspora. Peter Alter, curator at the Chicago History Museum, will keynote, followed by a panel discussion with Ania Mueller of the University of Michigan Dearborn, Malgorzata Kot of the Polish Museum of America, and Daniel Pogorzelski, editor and blogger of Forgotten Chicago. A Polish luncheon and museum tour–focusing on collections from Polish Chicago–are included in the $30 registration fee.
