After 21 stops over two years, “The World Knew: Jan Karski’s Mission for Humanity,” a traveling exhibition about Holocaust hero Jan Karski, is still traveling and still available to libraries and other cultural institutions. The Polish American Librarians Association has worked with the Jan Karski Educational Foundation to bring the exhibition to libraries across the country, and it has been shown at the following sites:

“PALA has worked with the Karski Educational Foundation since its beginnings as the Jan Karski US Centennial Campaign, established in May 2011, which successfully placed Karski’s name in nomination for the Presidential Medal of Freedom,” says PALA President Leonard Kniffel. “We are grateful to librarians who have made it possible for the exhibition to be shown in their libraries. Our efforts to educate the world about Karski’s heroism during the Holocaust are ongoing, and I urge librarians, especially Polish American librarians, to take advantage of our efforts.”
